Selected Work

Selected work, and the standards behind it

What kind of work does Web Interactive take on?

We take on web design, interactive development, brand identity, and hosting work for businesses that want a site engineered to last. This page explains the kinds of projects we do and the standards we hold on every one. We publish client names and detailed case studies only with permission, so here we describe the work honestly rather than inflating it.

An honest note on case studies

Plenty of studio sites are wallpapered with logos and dramatic before-and-after numbers, and a fair number of those are exaggerated or borrowed. We would rather earn trust a slower, more honest way. We do not publish a client's name, screenshots, or results without their permission, and we do not invent metrics to look impressive. So instead of a wall of unverifiable claims, this page describes the kind of work we do and the standards we apply to all of it.

When we do have permission to share a specific project, we present it plainly: what the client needed, what we built, and what actually changed, with real numbers only where we can stand behind them. If you want to see relevant examples before engaging us, ask, and we will share what we are permitted to show and connect you with references where appropriate. That is more useful than a marketing reel anyway.

The kinds of projects we take on

Our work clusters around a few shapes. There are marketing and business websites, where the job is to present a company clearly, rank well, and turn visitors into inquiries. There are redesigns, where an existing site has grown slow, dated, or unmanageable and needs a clean, fast rebuild that preserves hard-won search equity. And there are interactive builds, from a single calculator or booking flow up to a full web application or internal tool.

Alongside those we do brand identity work, often paired with a website, and ongoing hosting and care for sites after they launch. We are a good fit for businesses that value craft and longevity over the cheapest possible quote, and that want a site treated as a real asset rather than a disposable brochure. We are a poor fit for anyone wanting a throwaway template filled in as fast as possible, and we will say so honestly.

The standards that apply to every project

Whatever the project, the same standards hold. Pages are built to load fast, with light code and minimal dependencies. Markup is semantic and accessible, so the site works for keyboard and assistive-technology users and reads cleanly to search engines. The design is reviewed in the browser on real devices, not just admired as a flat mockup. And the codebase is left legible and documented enough that it can be maintained without us if you ever choose to take it elsewhere.

We also hold a standard of honesty in how we work: realistic timelines, clear scopes, and straight answers about trade-offs, including when a cheaper or simpler option would serve you better than the larger one. The point of every project is a site that genuinely works for the business behind it, and that standard does not bend with the size of the budget.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why are there no detailed case studies on the site?
Because we publish client names, screenshots, and results only with permission, and we never invent metrics to look impressive. Rather than fill the page with unverifiable claims, we describe the work and our standards honestly. If you want relevant examples before engaging us, ask and we will share what we are permitted to show, including references where appropriate.
Can I see examples relevant to my project?
Usually, yes, on request. We will share examples we have permission to show that are relevant to what you need, and where appropriate we can connect you with references who can speak to working with us. That tends to be more useful than a generic portfolio reel, because it is matched to your situation and verifiable.
What size of business do you usually work with?
We work with small and mid-sized businesses and teams that treat their website as a real asset rather than a disposable brochure. The common thread is valuing craft and longevity over the cheapest possible quote. We are happy to tell you honestly if your needs would be better served elsewhere, including by a simpler or cheaper option.
Who is Web Interactive not a good fit for?
Anyone wanting a throwaway template filled in as fast and cheaply as possible is probably a poor fit, and we will say so rather than waste your money. Our standards around performance, accessibility, and maintainability take real care, which is worth it for a site meant to last but is overkill for a truly disposable one-off.
Do you take on small projects or only large ones?
Both. Our work ranges from a focused landing page or a single interactive feature up to a full site, a web application, or an ongoing hosting and care relationship. What matters is that the project is a good fit for the standards we hold, not its size. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly if we are the right studio.
